About the Role
As a Category Manager, you will focus on managing relationships with top Shoes brands and fostering growth of new emerging brands. You will drive the best possible Customer Experience for your category taking on multiple projects that will have influence across categories.
This ideal candidate should have experience in forging and building brand relationships. The right candidate will be flexible, action-oriented, self-starting and have strong analytical skills. The candidate must be an effective communicator in working with some of the company’s most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and groups.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be the business owner and will be responsible for driving long term change through critical interventions, projects & programs in domains of selection, customer experience, delivery experience & end to end Customer journey. He/she will have to partner with multiple stakeholders on driving different projects or deeper level analyses. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical business work streams impacting long term category strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
– Knowledge of SQL, high proficiency in excel, excellent verbal & written communication skills
– Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management
– Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
– Background in retail, account management/sales or e-Commerce preferably in Fashion
Basic Qualifications
– An understanding of and passion for e-commerce
– Work experience of 3-5 years would be preferred
– Experience in Business, Category management, Program Management, Selling or Buying
– Experience in external and internal stakeholder management
– Excellent communication skills
– Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
– Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
– Master’s degree is require
